August 1: It is good to remind yourself of who you are, what you have been given to be and to do, and to be thankful that you belong to Me, says the Lord. A grateful heart is one who is blessed. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

August 2: To those who feel like you have been run through the mill in recent days and months, you are entering a season of restoration. It will seem to be slow at first, but then there will be a rapid progression of healing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In the meantime, take your rest. Isaiah 58:8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

August 3: Set yourself and take a stance against all that would take you down. I am with you to build you up and give you hope, not to reduce you to tears of hopelessness, says the Lord. I am your help in trouble, your shelter in the storm, and your light in darkness. Know that I will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.

August 4: I see your waffling, not knowing what to do. Settle the issues today, once and for all. Have I not been with you in times when change brought about order? It was I who brought about the circumstances that required change that resulted in divine order. Let your faith rest in the assurance that nothing escapes My notice, and when you call for help I am there to give wisdom and direction. Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

August 5: Refuse to allow your mind to find things to worry about instead of putting your faith in Me to bring you through every challenge, says the Lord. Worry will get you nowhere except to undermine your faith. Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

August 6: It is time to resolve old issues. Do what you can to get to the bottom of the problem and seek Me for a solution, says the Lord. Then take the necessary steps to bring resolution. Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

August 7: Refuse to allow past failures and regrets to create a state of condemnation and self-loathing. Today is a new day and a new opportunity to move forward and do the best you can right here and right now. You cannot change the past, but you can do your best with where you are today and with what you have to do. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

August 8: You can make plans for the future, but you must hold them loosely. You do not know what tomorrow will bring, but you can trust Me to usher you into every new day and give you the strength, wisdom and courage to endure. Take each moment as it comes as you seek Me for guidance and direction, says the Lord. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

August 9: It seems like you have been through a rough patch, and actually things have been more complicated and difficult, but you are coming through by the direction and power of My Spirit. Do not underestimate My involvement in your life and circumstances. I am with you always. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said: I will never leave you nor forsake you.

August 10: The things you have been concerned about will begin to slowly but surely be resolved. Do not expect overnight success, however. Be strong and take an even strain. You will need to exercise patience, but you can and will get through this. James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

August 11: I speak to those who have a tendency to judge and criticize people around you. Be aware that if you are critical you will be criticized. It is a product of the spiritual law of sowing and reaping. If you do not want to be judged, you must be willing to overlook what you consider to be flaws in others and know that I love them as I love you, says the Lord. Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you be not judged.

August 12: Many of you, My people, are still nursing wounds from the past. And, I tell you honestly that those wounds are healing. It will not be long before you can put the pain behind you and rise up in health and strength physically, emotionally and mentally. You are entering a season of restoration. August 13: Set your heart and mind to do good in all things. Even then you may have some regrets, but you will know that you did the best you could. The enemy of your soul will always seek to keep you in the bondage of condemnation, but he is a liar and the father of lies. Walk in truth and peace. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.

August 14: There are things you do and think that are no longer relevant to who you have become. Set yourself to embrace where you are instead of where you have been. You are being renewed day by day to become the best version of yourself possible. Put the past behind you and step into the new you. Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

August 15: Be patient and remain diligent. The issues you have been dealing with seem to have no resolution, but you are making progress. Do not give up or lose hope, but rather keep your faith strong. You will be refreshed and renewed by the power of My Spirit, says the Lord. Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

August 16: When you are worn out with fear and worry, remember that I am with you to show you the way out of the darkness into My glorious light. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

August 17: Breakthrough for you will come as a trickling stream instead of a roaring river. Your proverbial mantra will be: slow and steady, slow and steady. Take life as it comes; you cannot rush it. There are lessons to be learned that will be of great benefit in moving forward. Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

August 18: Press through the darkness, and resist the work of degradation against you. Continue to push until your existence is found in My kingdom where trust and righteousness prevail. This is a matter of where you invest your time, energy, thoughts, emotions, and will. You do not have to subject yourself to the work of the enemy even when it seems to be pervasive, says the Lord. Romans 13:11-14 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore case off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

August 19: Your breakthrough is coming slowly but surely, minute by minute, one day at a time. Do not discount the progress that you are making, no matter how small it seems. You will soon look back and be amazed at how far you have come, says the Lord. Colossians 3:23-24 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

August 20: I keep hearing the lyrics of an old song--pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. It is indeed good advice for these days. Let today be a new day and a new beginning. Leave the past behind, and look with hope to the future. Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. August 21: When you feel lost and not yourself, be assured that this is a transitional phase. I am still the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and I hold you in the hollow of My hand. Nothing in your life goes unnoticed. Never doubt My desire and ability to bring you through every challenge. Keep the faith and stay strong, says the Lord. Isaiah 49:15-16 Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.

August 22: Refuse to spend your valuable time on regrets and wishing you had made better choices or lived your life with greater integrity or loved and been loved more completely. Begin again today with better choices and love in your heart for those around you. You are still alive and can still make a difference. John 15:12-13 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down your life for your friends.

August 23: You can expect your life to smooth out and not be as hectic as it has been. You will find simple solutions to difficult problems and be able to carry out assignments that have seemed to be beyond your ability handle. I have indeed gone before you to make crooked places straight, says the Lord. Isaiah 45:2-3 I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.

August 24: This is a time to reevaluate the use of your energy and to streamline your activities so that you can be more efficient. There are things you do by force of habit that are no longer relevant to your existence. Let go of those things so that you can move forward unhindered. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

August 25: We are not of this world nor partakers of division. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God. Our allegiance is to the King of kings and Lord of lords. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

August 26: Do not give in to self-degradation and under estimating your ability to do all that is necessary in this season. I have called you and chosen you for such a time as this, but you must position yourself to cooperate with My leading, says the Lord. As long as you believe you are not worthy or up to the task, you will not fulfill your destiny. All you have to do is believe that you can do all things that I set before you. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

August 27: Refuse to get stuck in trying to guess what the future will bring, and what you might have to do. Conjecture is not truth. Take every day as it comes and do the best you can with current circumstances. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

August 28: When you feel spiritually like a tortoise in the desert, look to Me. I am your place of renewal and refreshment. Come to Me to be revitalized. Behold, I will do a new thing, so that you will know that I am with you, says the Lord. Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

August 29: Exercise compassion for those in need. If there are things you can do to ease the burden, do so. You will be sowing seeds that will yield a harvest for you when you need help. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

August 30: This is a good time to tie up loose ends, to make good on your intentions and promises and to take care of issues where you have continued to procrastinate. This will help you go into the next season with a clean slate and the ability to move on unhindered. You will be glad you did. Proverbs 15:19 The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns, but the way of the upright is a highway.

August 31: These are days of evaluation, when you can review what is behind you in order to plan for what is ahead of you. Do this so that you can make informed decisions about how to proceed. But above all, seek My face for wisdom and direction, says the Lord. You can trust Me to direct your steps. Proverbs 16:9 The heart of a man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.
