IMMOVABLE

There are things we do where we are flexible. We don’t always eat the same things. We don’t always do the same task over and over at work or school. We don’t always hang out with the same people. It is good to be flexible in a lot of things to keep us from being bored, to teach us about different things and to give us more things to try out. However, there is one thing where flexibility is not an option. And that is our work for the Lord. It should be constant. It should be focused. It should be immovable.

1 Corinthians 15:58 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to see where we are not strong and immovable in our work for You. Show us what changes we need to make. Reveal to us what we need to start doing or stop doing. We want to work enthusiastically for You, Lord, today and every day. We know You tell us that nothing we do for You is ever useless. Thank You for Your guidance and direction. Cleanse us and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us today to be obedient to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we are immovable in doing God’s work, we are focused on Him.

Being immovable means to focus on what we have been called to do and to do it.

Being immovable does not mean we can’t work joyfully for the Lord. He wants us to focus on Him but to also work joyfully for Him.

God has a plan for us and we are called to be immovable as we work His plan.

When we allow God’s Holy Spirit to work through us to be immovable, everyone who attempts to hurt us will only be hurting themselves.

Zechariah 12:3 “On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.” (NLT)

Focus today: Decide to stand strong in the Lord by learning more about His word and what He wants you to do. Be immovable as you work for the Lord.

I see the word IMMOVABLE, as standing in our truth and yet it can be contrariness, a closed mine, or an unwillingness to compromise. Everything is black and white, and not recognizing gray areas. A guy in NA, once said to me, I lived in the gray area when I was using, and in today I want that black and white.

I find that most of my life was either right or wrong. I always seemed to be in limbo, not able to make a decision, because I doubted myself, which means that I am doubting my God.

I never moved from faith and religious beliefs, they were always there, I just chose not to obey the rules and regulations. In today, my religious beliefs enhance my spiritual beliefs, and my spiritual beliefs enhance my religious beliefs.
