The Fullness of the Blessing
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.”
(Romans 15:29, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

God’s blessing is His supernatural empowerment. It is His favor. And we’ve all seen a measure of His blessing, but I believe there is a whole new level He wants to take you to. God has promises and opportunities in store for you that you haven’t even thought of yet! What you’ve seen in the past is only a fraction of what God wants to do in your future.

Understand that God likes to outdo Himself. He wants to open doors for you and bring out talents and abilities you didn’t even know you had. Remember, the God we serve is a God of abundance. He is the God of more than enough. Not only does He want to meet your needs, He wants to give you enough to bless other people. That’s living in the fullness of the blessing. Don’t settle where you are. Your destiny is not determined by the economy, by your past, or what anyone else thinks or says. Your destiny is determined by Almighty God. He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness so you can walk in the fullness of the blessing!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. Show me Your ways. Teach me to be a blessing to others. Help me to love others the way You love me so I can walk in the fullness of the blessing in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This reminds me of the 11th Step Prayer.

Morning and Night Prayer:

http://www.barefootsworld.net/aa11thmornnight.html

What is commonly referred to as the Eleventh Step Prayer, or the Prayer of St. Francis provides us specific direction on how to live God's will.

Lord, make me a channel of thy peace
that where there is hatred, I may bring love
that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony
that where there is error, I may bring truth
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith
that where there is despair, I may bring hope
that where there are shadows, I may bring light
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.

Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted
to understand, than to be understood
to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.

The universal spiritual qualities which the prayers encourages us to channel are guidelines to God's will. This prayer maps our journey from our lower, defective emotions or our ego to those of our SpiritSelf. If I act with these intentions I will always be following God's will:

Love, Forgiveness, Harmony, Truth, Faith, Hope, Light, Joy
