January 1: Make this day a new beginning as you leave the past behind and forge ahead in faith that I am for you and with you every step of the way. You are never alone. I am by your side to show you the way and direct your steps, says the Lord. I am your fortress and high tower, your very present help in trouble. Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

January 2: Your inclination for the new year is to make great, sweeping changes, but that will not be in your best interest. There are things that need to be adjusted in what you do, so make the adjustments in small increments instead of throwing out the baby with the bath water. Keep your focus on Me, and fine tune your spiritual ear to hear and heed My leading, says the Lord. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

January 3: Quiet your soul, and deliberately make Me your partner in life, says the Lord. I am with you to bring you through every situation. Lean on Me and trust Me to keep you on the path that I have chosen for you. There is no need for fear or trepidation. Be strong and resolute. Psalm 56:11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

January 4: You can make plans for the future, but you must live and be present right here and right now. Your plans are not yet reality. Stay real and deal with the issues that present themselves today, one minute at a time. That is where you can exercise your faith and trust that I am indeed with you, says the Lord. Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

January 5: Do not stress about what could or might happen tomorrow. Know that your place of safety and security is in My everlasting arms. I will hold you and protect you regardless of these trying times and unsettling circumstances. Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, Destroy!

January 6: Do not underestimate the power of My presence and My ability to intervene in your life. Allow Me to take the lead and direct every step you take. I am not a myth or a legend; I am a real and powerful being that you can interact with and trust to help you through every dilemma you face. Put your trust in Me, says the Lord. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

January 7: This is the beginning of a new trend of identification. You will develop your personal identity with greater precision and express yourself more completely apart from outside influences. The result will be that you will know who you really are in Me, says the Lord. This will be a dynamic revelation that will carry you into a new era. Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

January 8: You are entering a season that will be like no other. Do not be afraid of change or challenges. I have been with you every step of the way, and I will continue to go the distance with you, says the Lord. Lean on Me for direction and guidance as we go forth together. Psalm 25:5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

January 9: There is trouble all around you, but you do not have to be affected by what is happening outside of you. You need to settle yourself inside and deal with the issues that directly affect you. This will require walking and living in the Spirit instead of being consumed with flesh issues. Establish yourself in peace, says the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

January 10: Be still and know that I am God. Great and precious promises are yours if you will only dare to believe. The spiritual principles are simple, but applying them to life situations can be complex. Keep your vision clear and your motives pure as you focus on Me, says the Lord. The flesh always wants to muddy the spiritual water. Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

January 11: When you find yourself in a situation that causes you to panic, do your best to stay calm. Be sensitive to My leading. I will bring you through to a place of peace and safety as you focus on where you are and where you need to be. I will guide you through this maze of discombobulation, says the Lord. Psalm 131:2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.

January 12: Stay current. You might need to run to catch up, but it will be worth the effort. Trying to live in the past never works. Live today by paying attention to what is and what needs to be done now so that you can be obedient to My leading, says the Lord. Do your best to live and walk in the Spirit. Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

January 13: If you will allow it, you are entering a new season of hope. You can be stronger spiritually than you have ever been, full of mercy and good fruit. However, this will not happen without your cooperation with what is available to you. You must take advantage of every opportunity to prosper spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

January 14: This will be a season when you can overcome and forgive yourself for mistakes of the past and move into a phase of creativity and productivity beyond what you could have imagined. Rejection must be a thing of the past and not something that defines your life. Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

January 15: It is time to fix things that have been broken and ignored. You have procrastinated with the hope that it would just go away or fix itself, but neither of those options have been fulfilled. You must take the necessary steps in order to bring resolution, says the Lord. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

January 16: You need to be restored and strengthened. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and that joy comes from praise and worship. Let it spring up like fountains of living water. Let it wash over you in cleansing, healing waves, and be renewed by its power, says the Lord. Psalm 27:6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

January 17: This is a time when you can rearrange parts of your life, environment and activities to better suit your needs. Allow Me to lead you in that direction and show you what you can do, says the Lord. You will be delighted with the results. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

January 18: Troubling times create troubling circumstances. This is a time to trust Me in every situation, and know that I will direct your steps. Refuse to dump down in discouragement and fear, which can be contagious, so protect yourself from going down with the crisis of others, says the Lord. Walk in faith that I am with you. Isaiah 41:20 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

January 19: The challenges of these days for you are not to gain victory over the enemy as much as to recognize when you step out ahead of Me in presumption or take steps as a result of your own logic and personal bias. You must quiet your flesh and allow spiritual discernment to lead. Do nothing in your own strength and understanding, says the Lord. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.

January 20: You have been through a patch where everything seems difficult if not impossible to accomplish, but you have learned some lessons in this period of time. You have learned that frustration only makes things worse and that patience is a virtue. And, that if you will quiet your soul, you can find the Spirit and get divine help and guidance. Psalm 119:105-107 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.

January 21: You are about to enter a new phase of existence, but there are things that need to be finished before you can forge ahead. Make the best use of your time and opportunities to deal with issues that would hinder you in the future, says the Lord. I will give you discernment, wisdom and guidance to do all that is necessary. Isaiah 45:2 I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.

January 22: Look carefully with eyes of the Spirit, and you will see that you have supernatural help behind the scenes. Never doubt the length I will go to for your protection and prosperity in all things. These are days when you can rejoice in knowing that I am with you and for you, says the Lord. Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.

January 23: Find and maintain that place in you that is innocent and pure, and do not step out beyond the boundaries of holiness. Your physical and spiritual well being depends on what you decide in every situation. Give careful consideration to your thoughts and intentions, and choose righteousness, says the Lord. Proverbs 14:15 The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps.

January 24: It is good to look back and review where you have been and what you have done for the sake of repentance and new beginnings. But, you must not get stuck in the past or renew old slights or divisions. This is a time to take a backwards glance as a compass to get your bearings and establish direction for the days ahead. Remember that I am your North Star, says the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

January 25: Refuse to allow your life to become fruitless. Do what you can to maintain mercy and goodness. There is no reason to give up or give in to circumstances that drag you down to the depths of despair. These are days of overcoming, but they will require your care and attention. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

January 26: Every day can be a good day when you choose to follow My lead and depend on Me for strength and health, and when you walk and live in the Spirit. Everything else dims in comparison to your spiritual service, says the Lord. Prioritize what you deem to be important so that you walk in strength, peace, and prosperity. Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

January 27: The mistakes that you have made will be highlighted in your life, and you will have the opportunity to go back and make corrections either naturally or spiritually. This is a time to review and repent of the things that were unbecoming a believer in Christ. Let all your sins be wiped away, and be renewed, says the Lord. Psalm 51:1-2 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

January 28: You are about to launch out on a brand new beginning, which will be a time of exploration and discovery. You can move ahead when you have sufficiently left the past behind. Refuse to allow anything to hold you back from this spiritual adventure. Fear is your enemy, and faith is your friend. Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

January 29: Never expect to receive more than you give. Be who you are in Me, and give as I direct you to give; no more and no less. Stay on the path that I have chosen for you without regret, and be content, says the Lord. Philippians 4:12-13 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

January 30: Refuse to allow discouragement to gain a stronghold and defeat you. Stand firmly on the Rock of Salvation and know that I am with you to give you supernatural strength to endure even the most challenging of circumstances. Keep your faith strong. This too shall pass. Isaiah 41:10-12 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them—those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.

January 31: Settle issues as they arise, and stay current with the relevance of your life and times. Let Me be your guide and your very present help in trouble, says the Lord. I know your heart and the intentions of your soul. I am your strength and your shield, and I will bring you through to victory in all things. Psalm 28:7-8 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will praise Him. The Lord is our strength, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
