Our Daily Devotional:
Just Follow
Genesis 12:1 NIV: The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father´s household and go to the land I will show you."
When it comes to our future, most of us have an insatiable curiosity. If we could get an accurate glimpse at the days ahead, we would most likely succumb to the temptation to do so. Just consider how many people consult various mediums hoping to see their future crystal clear, as holding it in the palm of their hands. But, for us, God reveals to us His plans, in His time. Just as God led Abram without revealing all, He also will lead us—so that in so doing we will learn to "walk by faith, no longer by sight." As God directs us toward His path, it easy to speculate and try to figure out His plans. But we should remain faithfully focused on Him so as to follow Him, and not our own understanding. Jesus told us not to "worry about tomorrow." It is certainly enough to simply follow Him today.
