Hello Family
I have been putting off posting about this. Some of you may remember that my significant other, Henry, has a son (Brian) that is bipolar and schizophrenic. He's been staying with us off and on for years. He does well when he's on his medication but if he's not taking it, he becomes erratic and usually leaves the house, preferring to live on the streets. He usually gets picked up by the police and ends up back with us. Once he ended up in jail in Key West!! (Which is about 500 miles from where we live in Jacksonville.)
Long ago, I decided to remove myself from any personal involvement in the situation. I just couldn't get wrapped in the emotional turmoil and chaos.
Well, Brian had been doing really well for about 4-5 months, taking his medication, even helping with chores around the house. About a month ago when Henry and I returned from one of my meetings, he was gone. We haven't heard from him. This time (unlike previously) Henry seems to have made peace with the idea that his son is sick and there's nothing he can do. He's taking care of himself emotionally.
Please pray that Brian is safe.
