YOUR WORK WILL BE REWARDED

When we go to work every day and do what is expected of us, we are rewarded with a paycheck. Some of us are rewarded with benefits and other perks of the job. As long as we do what is required of us, we will continue to get a check unless the company downsizes or closes altogether. Many of us have suffered from a downsizing or a lay off. However, when we do work for God we can rest assured our rewards will be far greater than a paycheck and benefits. We can be certain our God will never downsize and lay us off. We can be sure that His promises will be the truth and that He wants the best for us. That is why we should be strong and courageous doing God’s work.

2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to focus on what work we can do for You. Give us the courage to follow through with what You call us to do. Give us the strength to continue on despite what is going on around us. We know You want what is best for us and You would never give us anything to do that would put us in harm’s way. Guide us today and help us to know Your will. We want to be obedient to You and work for only You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we are courageous doing God’s work, we can be sure He will be with us.

God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle because He will be with us as we do what He calls us to do.

If we are looking for work, we need to look to God first and He will show us what to do.

God’s plan for us is to work until Jesus comes doing what He has called us to do.

When we work for God, we are to do exactly what He tells us to do according to His word and His will.

Joshua 1:7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.” (NLT)

What I think, do, vocalize, etc. put out is returned to me. Not always from the same source. I believe it is often based on my intent and motives. If they have ulterior self-centered motives, I will be paid in kind. As my sponsor said, "You are where you are in today as a result of decisions made."

I can't put expectations on others or myself, if they are not capable of meeting them. Just because we did before, doesn`t mean we can do it in today. Just because we couldn`t do it in the past, doesn`t mean we can`t do it today.
