Why pray when you can worry by Alive to God
God wants to provide for us, but we prefer to worry.
Matthew 6:25 Don’t worry about things – food, drink, and clothes. For you already have life and a body – and they are far more important than what to eat and wear.
We worry even though we shouldn’t.
Matthew 6:26-27 Look at the birds! They don’t worry about what to eat – they don’t need to sow or reap or store up food – for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than they are. Will all your worries add a single moment to your life?
Yet we still elect to worry. What we should do is pray.
Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
This is God’s pattern for us.
