HARD TIMES
When things get tough, we sometimes begin to focus on the situation rather than God. We focus on our problems. We spend time thinking about why it had to happen. We talk about it with others. But we forget to talk about it with God. When things get tough in life and we have to go through hard times, our focus should remain on God. He will get us through those times and even teach us something in the midst of them if we will only focus on Him.
Psalm 10:25 “When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, thank You for the foundation You have prepared for us when we choose to focus on You rather than the situation. Help us to focus on You so You will reveal to us Your solution. Help us to focus on You so You will reveal to us a plan. Help us to focus on You so You will give us peace in the midst of our storms. When we put our focus on You rather than the problem, we know You will take control. And thank You, Lord, for taking control of our problems. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we focus on God rather than our problems, He will take care of them and give us peace.
When hard times come, we can focus on God knowing He is in control.
When we focus on God, He will show us what to do when hard times come.
We can prepare ourselves for hard times by creating a habit of focusing on God in all that we do.
In both good times and bad, God has a plan and we should always remember to focus on Him.
Ecclesiastes 7:14 “Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.” (NLT)
Focus today: Start the day by focusing on God and in all things throughout the day, remember to focus on Him.
