AS NATURAL AS BREATHING

The bottom line is we should go to God in all we do. We should tell others about Him and how to better serve Him. Our daily actions should be godly. When we learn spiritual discipline it will become as natural as breathing. Our actions and words will bring glory to God. We need to grow spiritually so we can do the work God created us to do and bring Him glory just as Jesus did. Just as we breathe now without thinking too much about it, we should create godly habits we do automatically because we are a child of God.

John 17:4 I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. (NLT)

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. (KJV)

Dear Lord, thank You for the opportunity to serve You today. Show us how to make our actions to live for You as natural as breathing. We know it is possible to live for You daily as You call us to do. We know it is possible to complete the work You have assigned to us. We know it is possible to be disciplined and grow spiritually. Help us to see what things we need to stop doing so we can better live for You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Only God can teach us how to do His will so we are consistently following Him and living in obedience to Him.

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. (NLT)

Consistency over time will help us grow our faith and strengthen our spiritual discipline.

Leviticus 22:31 You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the LORD. (NLT)

If we want to live a consistent life for God, we need to allow God to give us the strength to do so.

1 Peter 4:11b Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. (NLT)

Focus: God alone will help us to grow spiritually. A relationship with Him is critical to spiritual growth.
