October 1: When you pray, you do not have to beg. Come before Me in faith, believing that I will hear you. But sometimes you pray for things you do not understand, or are not in My will or timing. You must learn to pray according to the leading of My Spirit and not according to your flesh desires. It is more important than ever to live and walk in the Spirit. Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

October 2: When remembering the past, do not dwell on the things that were upsetting and unjust, but focus on that which helped you grow and develop spiritually. Allow the things of the earth to grow dim so that the things of eternity will glow bright. Leave your sorrows behind and move on. Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

October 3: I would have you begin again with new perspective. This will require that you forgive every person who has offended and hurt you, no matter how long ago. And that you bless and release them. You must also forgive yourself and release yourself to Me for purification and forgiveness. You cannot continue to hurt others because when you hurt them, you hurt Me and alienate yourself from My blessings. Mark 11:25-26 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

October 4: When you are slighted or treated with contempt, resist the urge to retaliate. That is not the way of righteousness. I have given you the grace to overcome evil with good and to respond with kindness and forgiveness. 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

October 5: In a vision I saw a very large and beautiful bowl of fruit; each piece had been washed and carefully placed in the bowl and set on a table for consumption. I heard the Lord say that we are not only to acknowledge the Holy Spirit, but to feed on Him and allow His attributes to fill and nourish us so that we become like Him. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

October 6: I speak to those who aspire to be like someone you admire, but when you do that, you rob yourself of the uniqueness of who you are genuinely. You do this to gain approval without knowing assuredly that My approval is all that matters. You are truly one of a kind and precious to Me. Psalm 139:13-14 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

October 7: Come and drink from the water of life so that you may be refreshed and renewed. The water of life speaks of the work of My Spirit in you. But you must deliberately come and partake of the spiritual cleansing and regeneration. Come! John 4:14 "But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

October 8: Bring your concerns to Me. When you pray, believe that I hear and answer, and you must stop stewing. If you could have done something about it you would have, so leave it to Me. I can do what you cannot. Psalm 138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.

October 9: Think carefully when someone pressures you to change your mind or do something that is not what you would normally do. Your heart belongs to Me, and I will direct your steps and heighten your spiritual awareness so that you know when someone is trying to exploit or take advantage of you. Pay attention to the check in your spirit that warns you to stop. Colossians 3:2-5 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

October 10: Beloved, refuse to allow anything to undermine or destroy your faith. I know that you have wondered if your faith and hope are enough to break through your challenges. And I tell you, Yes. It is enough to sustain you. Do not waver in your belief that there is spiritual, invisible help available to you in every situation. Put your trust in Me, and be strong. Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you."

October 11: Expressing your dissatisfaction does absolutely no good to you or anybody around you. But when you convey hope and love it will benefit everyone. Set your heart to live and walk in the Spirit, and the fruit will be evident. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

October 12: The earth is shrouded in darkness and death, and you must resist the temptation to dwell in that darkness. Break out of bondage and the spirit of death to be renewed in body, soul and spirit. Receive restoration and healing by seeking life in the Spirit. Leave the darkness behind and step into My light. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

October 13: Remember that your behavior and how you treat others, whether with kindness or contempt, will be multiplied back to you. It is a spiritual law that cannot be broken just as surely as the physical law of gravity cannot be broken. When you jump off a cliff you will go down. Live by the Spirit and you will be rewarded. Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

October 14: Stay focused. Distraction is an issue that can take you off course. Determine to stay spiritually connected, and recognize the ways in which you are diverted. There is nothing more important than being one with Me with no space between us. Develop a listening ear and a heart that is moved by the slightest move of My Spirit. 1 Corinthians 7:35 And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.

October 15: You are closing an old chapter in your life and preparing for the next. Go forward without regrets or self-recrimination. Begin again with a clean slate and the determination to make choices based on My guidance. Stay close to Me, and I will lead the way. James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

October 16: I am with you to bring you through scary and uncertain times with grace. When you do not know what to do, I will help you take the next step. Where there is chaos, I will give you peace. Do not be afraid for I am with you. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

October 17: Be aware that you are likely to be uncomfortable and even indecisive in this season. There will be a sense of urgency to figure out what to do. You will be tempted to get drastic and be radical in changing your direction. However, you must persist and stay on track. Refuse to get upset. Maintain peace, stay calm and have faith. This is all about learning to trust Me in the midst of chaos. Stay the course and see My handiwork. Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

October 18: Exercise your discernment in what you share with others. Only be led by My Spirit to avoid those who will misunderstand or misuse what should remain secret or sacred. Be careful not to tell a gossip that which you do not want everyone to know. It is often good to keep your mouth shut. Matthew 7:6 Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

October 19: In these difficult and sometimes frustrating days, you must find kindness and forgiveness in your heart. Lashing out at others will only create hard feelings and uncomfortable situations. Determine to be evenhanded in every circumstance, and give others the benefit of the doubt. Isaiah 55:8-9 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

October 20: Set a watch on your attitudes and behavior and choose to live in and by the Holy Spirit. Refuse to think evil thoughts or carry out evil plans. You are a living example of My heart and nature on the earth, and yours is to demonstrate My kingdom. Do not give anyone just cause to scorn or mock that which is holy. 1 Peter 1:13-16 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy.

October 21: There are many things that are beyond the scope of your responsibility and authority that you need to leave alone. But you can be true to your calling and do what I have given you to do. Allow Me to mold you like clay in the hands of a potter to become the unique and precious vessel that I can use to accomplish My purposes. Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.

October 22: There is a time for every season, and this is a time for you to find your place of spiritual strength. That strength only comes from faith and reliance on Me. When you know that you are Mine and I am yours, you will know that I am with you in every circumstance. Be strong. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

October 23: Maintain a generous heart, and that generosity will be multiplied back to you. This is not a time to withhold your consideration and kindness, and do not allow your heart to be hardened in any way. Treat everyone in the same way that you want to be treated. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

October 24: Take the time to think things through. You will be inclined to make assumptions that will lead you down the wrong path. Push your potential decisions out to discover their logical conclusions before you act. Stay within the parameters of walking in the Spirit and keeping righteous boundaries. Psalm 119:40 Behold, I long for Your precepts; revive me in Your righteousness.

October 25: Set your heart to stay the course in accord with the Holy Spirit. Refuse to allow the setbacks that you have encountered to be a deterrent. Press on with your eyes fixed on the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. Run the race with endurance. Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

October 26: I do not always speak to you in a still small voice. Pay attention to all the ways I communicate with you. It can be through your circumstances or an impression, a random thought, a check in your spirit, or inspiration. Stay alert and open to the leading of My Spirit. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

October 27: To those who are completely worn out by circumstances, I say come to Me for a time of restoration. Sometimes it feels like I am a million miles away, but in truth I am as close as your breath. My Spirit is in you and with you. Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

October 28: To those who are in need of a different outcome, you must make adjustments to your method of operation. These are days when it is imperative for you to look through the lens of truth and reality regardless of how compelling deception becomes. Begin with being honest with yourself with regard to how you have carried out your responsibilities. Do not blame others for your shortcomings. Proverbs 12:19 The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

October 29: Stay within your boundaries, and resist the urge to manipulate or dominate other people. Your greatest gift is free will. Your ability to choose for yourself is a sacred right. You do not want others to choose for you. Give them the same respect and consideration. Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

October 30: Lift up your voice in praise even in the midst of trouble. I will have compassion on you and will comfort your soul. Trust in Me and do not be afraid. You have been in a spiritual desert, but I will be your oasis in a dry land. I will answer your prayers with mercy and grace. Psalm 116:1-5 I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the Lord: O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul! Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.

October 31: Refuse to feel sorry for yourself or to lose hope. Rise up in the strength of My purpose for you. Do not underestimate the power of your will to go as hard as you can for as long as you can to accomplish what I have set before you. You are not alone; I am with you to gain the victory. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
