PROMISE OF NEW STRENGTH
We all want to do the right thing. We want to have strength to live for God as we should but we get discouraged from the situations in life. We get sidetracked from the people in the world. We get weakened by the devil continually putting temptation in our path. However, God gives a promise of new strength, of a new life and of a deeper relationship with Him if only we will stay focused on Him. With focus, our roots can grow deeper in His love, our minds can be cleansed from wrong thoughts and our spirits can be renewed again.
Isaiah 40:29-31 “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, thank You for Your strength, Your power and Your might. You are so good. You are so worthy. You are so great. We want to praise You and acknowledge Your greatness all day long. We are so weak yet You are strong. We do not need anything from this world for strength. We only need You. Help us today to live for You, trust in You and stay focused on Your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If we want true strength to do good, we have to go to God for it.
God gives us a promise of new strength in Him if we will only go to Him for it.
God gives power to the weak and strength to those who place their trust in Him.
Everyone gets tired but those who trust in God will never seem to grow weary because when they begin to tire, He will lift them up and carry them.
When we trust in God for strength, we have no reason to be afraid or discouraged.
Isaiah 41:10 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (NLT)
Ephesians 3:17 “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.” (NLT)
