Proverb A Day – Day 26 by SGLY Ministry
Today’s Proverb: Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases. Proverbs 26:20 [NKJV]
Today’s Thought:
This verse is saying that gossip is like wood fueling a fire.
By withholding wood from a fire you cause it to go out and in same way you could cause a quarrel to cease by withholding gossip.
Therefore, resist the urge to gossip or repeat things,
even if they are true, and you will bring peace instead of strife.

Today:
I will resist the urge to gossip or repeat things
I will do my best to bring peace in all situations
I will only speak things that edify others
