DAILY TIME

If we want to be knowledgeable about anything, we need to dig deeper into the subject and learn. College students study books and do research in order to learn and gain knowledge. Businessmen study books and charts to get the information they need to make good business decisions. Godly people who want to know more about God and His will for their lives spend daily time in His word, in prayer and apply what they learned. Daily time with God will give us the knowledge we need to do what is right.

SCRIPTURE:
Genesis 4:7 “You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List when you spend alone time with God.
2. Write down what you do when you are with Him.
3. Know it is possible to dig deeper into His word.
4. Pray asking Him to help you draw even closer to Him.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know when we spend a lot of time on anything we will become more knowledgeable about it. We know if we want to spend time doing Your will, we need to know more about You. Daily time with You is important to You and needed by us. Without Your word, we would not know what is right. Without daily time with You, we wouldn’t truly know who You are. Today, we commit ourselves to You and commit to spending quality time with You so we can become knowledgeable about You, Your word and Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER: If we want to gain more knowledge about what is right and true, we need to draw closer to God.

Satan is ready for us to stray so we will move away from God. God tells us to turn from sin and follow Him.

Commit today to spend more time with God so we can learn more about Him, His word and His will.

God is so pleased when we live according to His will rather than the will of the world.

FOCUS: Proverbs 21:3 “The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.” (NLT)

God wants us to do right and He has great plans for us but we have to stay in His word to know what He wants us to do.
