BOLDLY WITNESS
We can be a bold witness for Christ when we stay alert to those the devil is using to harm us and others. When we stay aware of what the devil is able to do and know God can help us resist him, we can remain strong in our faith and stand firm against him. When we do these things we will be a bold witness for God. When we stay alert and live in obedience to God, He will become greater and greater in our minds and in our lives. And others will see Jesus in us.
1 Peter 5:8-9 "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are." (NLT)
1 Peter 5:8-9 "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings." (NIV)
Dear Lord, help us to be bold witnesses for You. We know we can't do that without You completely in our lives. We know we need to stay in Your word. We need to stay alert to the devil's shenanigans. We need to get serious about doing Your will and sharing Your word. You should become greater and greater in our lives and we should become less and less. Help us today to be a bold witness for You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
We can be a godly witness to others not just with our words. Our actions will also show them we are His followers.
We can be a bold witness for God when we stay alert to the devil's evil ways and stay in God's word.
God wants us to be ready for any temptations the devil wants to throw at us. We can prepare by reading Ephesians 6:10-18.
Ephesians 6:10 "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." (NLT)
If we want to truly succeed, our lives should become less and less about us and the world and more and more about Jesus.
John 3:30 "He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less." (NLT)
Focus: When we allow Jesus to become the greater part of our lives, our plans will be His plans.
