Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (NLT) Ephesians 2:9-10

The majority of things in life we work hard to earn: a living, an education, trust, respect, etc. But, opposite to the ways of this world, God doesn't ask us to work for His love. There is nothing we can even do to earn God's love. It is by grace alone that He loves us.

Like this, so many people think that they can work and make it alright. It is all up to be to be honest, open minded, and willing to follow His Will. For me, that is to just TRY to be the best me I can be, get out of self and help others, but don't expect redemption by doing so. We give with no thought of getting back, and yet it seemed that I was blessed many times over, whether it was a result of giving and caring, it doesn't matter. All I have to do is find some gratitude and pass it on.
