MY PILOT
http://www.animated-gifs.eu/phone-240x320-biblical-characters/0001.gif
In daily grind I often find
an urge to steal away,
to some lone spot, a peaceful lot,
when I am in dismay.
So off I trot to that quiet spot,
a forest stream or creek;
where nature dines and beauty shines
are company I seek.
Where wildlife croons their gleeful tunes
in their own paradise.
God's scheme of things which clearly brings
the wonders He applies.
Now resting here I sense Him near,
His presence fills the air;
He's in the trees, He's in the leaves, the stream,
He's everywhere!
Amidst the creek I hear Him speak
in voice of rippling waves;
He's there in sight as geese take flight,
a scene my memory saves.
While here, I gaze through evening's haze
in show of sunset's glow;
I see the leaves from trees fall free,
and drift on with the flow.
I see God's plan with thoughts I scan---
how man is like those leaves;
who lives and dies before God's eyes
in life that God so weaves;
then on some river just drift forever
in beauty of nature's realm,
where one can say: "no more dismay"
with God there at the helm!
