NO TIME
Many of us are busy. Many of us believe there is not enough time in the day to get everything done. That is true to a point because we only have 24 hours in each day. However, there is always time to get the most important things done. Training in God’s word is one of the most important things we should do. Training is needed and is extremely beneficial to the outcome of our lives and the lives of others. If we feel we have no time for training in God’s word, we need to relook at our priorities. Our time with God and for God should be first on our agenda every day because He should be the most important part of our lives. He has something to teach us and we should take time to sit at His feet and listen.
SCRIPTURE: Hosea 10:12b “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.” (NLT)
ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down what you did in the past 24 hours.
2. List the things you did that were according to God’s will.
3. Know training in God’s word should be a priority.
4. Schedule time for God today and take time to pray and read His word.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, You have so much You want to teach us. You have so many stories and lessons in Your word that are filled with principles for us to live by. You have so many promises and truths in Your word that give hope and peace. We know we may say we are too busy to train ourselves in Your word but You know our hearts. You know our excuses. Help us to move away from the excuses and begin training in Your word today. We need You, Lord. We want to draw close to You for direction. Teach us today, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
REMEMBER:
Taking time to pray every morning will teach us to focus on God and to go to Him in all things.
Spending quiet time with God will teach us to pause and listen and wait for His answer.
Reading God’s word every day will discipline us to seek answers from Him in His word.
If we think we don’t have time for God, we are focusing on the wrong things in life.
Anything taking up our time but is not in line with God’s will is wasted time.
FOCUS: 1 Timothy 4:7 “Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.” (NLT)
