OVERWHELMED WITH POWER
There are so many times in life when we feel powerless. Things happen that are out of our control. People do things we don’t understand. Situations occur where our lives get out of their normal routines. When we feel powerless, we don’t know what to do. However, there is hope. There is opportunity to be overwhelmed with the power of God if we will only turn to Him, rely on Him and obey Him. All things are possible with God but we have to choose to focus on Him through our struggles.
Exodus 17:9 “Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know when Moses needed help to overcome an army of enemies, he turned to You. We know because he lifted his staff and focused on You, the battle was won. Because of Moses’ faith in You, many people were saved. We want to have that faith in You. We want to choose to be overwhelmed with Your power. We want to trust in You and know we can do all things through Christ. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
All things are possible with the power of God.
Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.’” (NLT)
We can do all things, get through any situation and be overwhelmed with God’s power when we have Christ in our lives.
Philippians 4:13 “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (NLT)
When we turn from our wrong ways and focus on God, we will have power like no other.
Revelation 3:2-3a “Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again.” (NLT)
Focus: We need to put our focus on God and take our focus off the world if we want the overwhelming power only God can give.
