Turn it into determination
Your frustration is understandable, but it’s going to keep sapping your energy and blinding you to your best possibilities. As soon as possible, turn it into determination.
Your anger is well-justified, yet if you lash out in anger you’re going to do things you regret. Get yourself to quickly transform that anger into determination.
Whatever has happened, whatever you’re feeling, you can harness the energy of that feeling and point it in a positive direction. You can respond with determination.
Just because you’ve been hurt is no reason to add to the hurt. Instead, go in the direction of value, joy, forgiveness and healing.
Whether it’s a small inconvenience or a big disruption, it doesn’t have to drag you down. You can choose to stay in control, to stay effective and positively determined.
Create value instead of regret, spread joy instead of retribution. Let all the ups and downs give you more determination to make life the best it can be.

Respect your effort
Respect your effort. If you’re going to do it, do it well, without condescension, without resentment, with focus and enthusiasm.
You owe yourself the favor and the benefit of respecting whatever you’re doing. You’re spending your valuable time on it, so invest yourself fully in it.
Respect the work you’re doing and you’ll find ways to put value into it, to get value from it. Make it worth your while by expecting it to be worth your while.
It’s easy to complain, to harbor resentment, to act rudely and to feel put out by having to do something you didn’t want to do. But the main person who is hurt by such behavior and attitude, is you.
Step aside from whatever factors made the effort necessary. Step up to the task in a positive frame of mind, and get it done.
Put yourself in control by making it your choice to do the work, and to do it well. See it for the opportunity it is, and make it the best it can be.

Starting point
Make this moment a starting point for action. Make this day a starting point for new joy.
Don’t get stuck in the failures or successes of the past. Start fresh right now, and engage your best thoughts and efforts to create a great future.
Whatever mistakes you’ve made, you can now correct. All the skills you’ve developed, all the lessons you’ve learned, you can now put to good use in new and purposeful ways.
The part of your life that you can control, begins right now. Seize this shiny new opportunity and make the most of it.
This is your starting point for achievement, adventure, love, enlightenment and more. This is your starting point for living your life in the best ways you can imagine.
Feel the energy of all the new possibilities that have just been born. Now, from this great new starting point, jump forward and make those possibilities real.

What you’re looking for
What you see depends on what you’re looking for. Take a moment and ask yourself today, what are you looking for?
If you’re looking for evidence that the world is in a mess, you’ll find plenty of it. If you’re looking for good reasons to be hopeful, positive, enthusiastic, you’ll discover an abundance of them.
Try as you might to experience purely objective reality, it’s just not possible. Because your experience has as much to do with you as with the experience.
With that being the case, you might as well make the best of it. Your perspective and your attitude have a powerful and unavoidable influence on your life, so choose to make them positive and purposeful.
You cannot magically improve the outer world by improving the way you think about it. What you will do, however, is to dramatically improve your success at dealing with it.
Look for the best in life, and expect to find it, to experience it, to live it. From your positive perspective you’ll find the energy, the resources, the inspiration and persistence to create positive results.

Take the next step
Whether your intended destination is a few feet away or several thousand miles, your job right now is the same. Take the next step.
All you must do is take the next step. No matter how distant or complex or challenging the goal may be, the thing to do is take the next step.
You don’t have to have it all figured out right now. You just have to know what’s next, and do it.
There’s no need for a superhuman effort, no reason to procrastinate, no cause for dismay. Simply go ahead and take the next step.
This moment has arrived and soon will be gone. Now, while you have it, make use of the moment to make some real progress.
The path to achievement stretches out ahead. This is your opportunity to take the next step.

Show up and do the work
What do you wish to achieve? Achievement happens when you show up and do the work.
You don’t need to stumble upon a clever hack. You don’t have to hope for a lucky break.
What to do, is show up and do the work. Do the work, day in and day out, with the commitment to make a difference.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. What it has to be is done, again and again, for as long as necessary.
The essence, the heart of achievement arises from putting your heart into the achievement. Show up, reliably, enthusiastically, and do the work.
You don’t need to be the world’s most gifted genius, yet your achievements can radiate pure genius. Just show up and do the work.

Steadfast perspective
The world is noisy. Rise above the noise by keeping yourself focused on what’s most important to you.
Events, opinions, trends threaten always to push you in a confusing, disheartening mishmash of different directions. Avoid that fate by pushing yourself in a meaningful, specific direction.
Keep yourself connected with what you love, what you care about, what you want to build and nurture. Moment to moment, remain grounded by strong purpose, and by your commitment to advance that purpose.
Experience life in all its color and flavor as it streams noisily into your awareness. Yet make sure to give yourself a steadfast perspective from which to experience it all.
At the same time, give yourself something good and useful to do with it all. Enable yourself to extract real value from the drama, the confusion, the energy that sizzles around you.
This is a great and wondrous day to be alive. Give yourself something great and wonderful to do with it.

Clear, positive vision
What is your vision for today, this month, next year? A clear, positive vision will raise your energy level and effectiveness in every endeavor.
When the big positive things are compelling enough, you’ll hardly notice the little negative things. When you focus on accomplishing what is truly meaningful and significant, then the everyday distractions and annoyances quickly shrink into insignificance.
In every moment, your focus is on one thing or another. When you can stay focused on the good and positive things that mean the most to you, the little annoyances have no way to bring you down.
Why waste your time and energy worrying and fretting about things that really don’t matter that much? Instead, direct your focus toward creating value for yourself, for those around you and for the world in which you live.
Sure, you’ll need to take care of the little problems and deal with the distractions as they come along. That will go much more smoothly, without anger, resentment, worry or frustration, when your primary focus is on the big picture.
Stop letting all the little things bring you down. Focus instead on the best you can imagine, and let that positive vision pull you forward.

See the good
See the good in life. See the good in people, in situations, in knowledge, possibilities, values and resources.
Even when the worst happens, make a point to see the good in life. The best way forward begins with envisioning a positive way forward.
See the good, and let your spirit be lifted by what you see. See the good, and act on the possibilities for expanding upon it.
Seeing the good does not mean you have to be naive, or in denial. It means you choose to be strong and positive within a reality that can often have a negative flavor.
Yes, terrible things can happen, and often do. And yes, even so, there is always a positive path forward.
See the good that is possible and live your life in support of that goodness. Take hold of what is good, and with your time, with your actions, make more of it.

Every moment a miracle
Every moment is a miracle. Embrace the beauty, and live the value.
Photons of golden light cross millions of miles of empty space to fall upon your skin and give you warmth. There is no better place to be than here.
Even the most ordinary day is an astounding experience. Because you are here to dive into its endless possibilities.
Look around right now with your awareness drenched in gratitude. Consider the full extent of your good fortune.
In this small moment exists everything that is. And you are able to experience it, learn from it, create with it, explore it, share it, and live unique joys within it.
A cool breeze stirs the air and thunder rumbles in the distance. All the richness you can ever imagine is yours to live right now.

Intentional choices
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Be driven by intentional choices, by what will make a difference in your life, not by momentary whims.
Every day, every hour of your life, is precious. Invest your time accordingly, doing what really matters, and being present for those you love.
There’s plenty of time for you to have an awesome life, whatever your age, whatever your situation. Just a few minutes spent in the service of what you care about is enough to make the day an amazing one.
You can choose today to rise above the petty disputes and meaningless diversions. You can choose to focus on the beauty, the possibilities, and work to create new richness.
Every time you feel joy, sadness, regret, enthusiasm, let the feeling remind you of all that truly matters. And re-dedicate yourself, your time, your energy, your efforts to those things.
This day is filled with choices, and those choices can take you far. The life you wish to live becomes real as you continue to choose it in every moment.

Be well
In all your getting and giving, doing, going, learning, creating, remember this essential objective. Be well.
Your well being is far more important then beating all the other drivers to the next intersection. Take care not to sacrifice any of that well being just to gain a temporary, meaningless win.
You may have good cause to carry a grudge against someone who has wronged you. Yet you have an even better reason to forgive, to let it go, and to be well.
Don’t let your good intentions trample the actual goodness you enable yourself to experience. In every moment, be well.
Give the best of yourself while also taking great care of yourself. Make real progress while also allowing yourself to experience real joy.
Be kind, be generous, be truthful, loving, purposeful, active, effective. And in all you do, be well.

Path forward
There is a way through. There is a path forward.
You may have to turn around and back up for a while. You may have to admit your assumptions were wrong.
Yet as you keep going, as you persist in doing what must be done, the progress will come. Your effectiveness increases, and your momentum grows.
The achievement will be more difficult than you thought it would be. And that makes it even more valuable than you first imagined.
Every twist and turn, every effort, every setback, every small victory, will add to that value. Working your way forward, you’ll discover and develop new capabilities, new strength, new confidence.
Open yourself fully to the real and present possibility of success. And push yourself positively, constantly, to make it happen.

What you desire
Admit to yourself what you really, truly desire. Then go right ahead and do something positive and substantive to make it happen.
There’s a reason you desire whatever you desire. That desire will remind you, encourage you, push you to give the best of what you can give.
Specifically, what would you most like to be doing with your life, and why? You owe it not only to yourself, but to all the world, to follow the purpose you care most about.
From washing machines and jet airplanes to magnificent symphonies and lifesaving medicines, many good and valuable things begin with someone’s desire. What’s possible, or even seemingly impossible, becomes real because of authentic desire.
Exactly how would you love for life to be? Take the time, have the courage, accept the responsibility to answer that in your own unique way.
Explore your desire, dare to dream, and do the work to make those dreams real. There’s goodness and value in what you desire, when you let those desires come to life through your positive efforts.

Be at peace with all that is, as it is. Accept the power that is yours to make positive, loving use of it all.
Be thankful for the mistakes you’ve made and for all the wisdom you’ve gained from them. Be eager to put that great experience to work in making life for everyone better than it has ever been.

Value in the living
The value of life is in the living of it. And the living of life is now.
Happiness is not found in some imagined perfect someday. Happiness is ready for you to make it happen, to enjoy and experience it now.
It’s great to have dreams, goals, ambitions, and to work steadily toward them. Yet while you do, remember to enjoy the quiet, beautiful treasures in each ordinary moment.
Let go of any judgments and conditions you’ve placed on joy, and simply allow joy to flow, right now, right here. Every day, every person, every activity, every conversation has value to add to your life.
Don’t put off the living of your life just because conditions are not perfect. Go ahead and experience fully this day’s portion of the amazing journey you’re on.
Fill your heart with gratitude, and open your awareness to the best possibilities. Life is experienced in the living of it, and now is here for you to live.

The results you seek
Don’t fool yourself into thinking you’re making progress when you aren’t. Don’t let being busy become a substitute for being effective.
You deserve to get results from your efforts. So insist on those results from yourself.
What you measure, you can control. So take stock of your efforts, measure the results, be honest about them with yourself.
It’s all too easy to excuse and rationalize your own ineffective, wasteful behavior. Don’t let yourself get away with that, because the time and effort you’re wasting are your own.
Set specific objectives, put them in writing, and use them to evaluate your performance. Good intentions are fine, yet ultimately your concrete results are what matter.
Objectively measure the effectiveness of your actions, adjusting your efforts accordingly. And you’ll enable yourself to create the results you seek.

Live with quality
Live this day with quality. Whatever you do, do it well, with focus, care, respect and consideration.
Your life deserves the highest quality. Give it quality thoughts, quality time, quality relationships, quality actions and adventures.

Whether you’re sweeping the sidewalk, climbing a mountain, or cooking dinner, you can do it with quality. Each moment is unique and precious, as is your life, so act accordingly.
Commit yourself to living with quality, and you’ll instill a strong sense of purpose into all you do. You’ll empower yourself to transcend the confusion and assemble consequential achievements.
Seek quality, support quality, create quality, and insist on nothing less than quality in what you do. Live with quality in every undertaking, and fulfill your highest and best possibilities.

Put yourself out there

Don’t wait until you hear opportunity knocking. Prepare yourself long before the opportunity has gelled, placing yourself in the optimum position to seize that opportunity.
Dreams become reality not by waiting or wishing, but through preemptive, focused, ambitious action. Look ahead, think ahead, plan ahead, act with passion and purpose.
Put yourself out there, eager to give all you have to every moment of every day. The special greatness within you deserves to be expressed and fulfilled.
Allow confidence, courage, and achievement to grow upon themselves through your attitude and actions. Put yourself out there, and make great things happen.

Take hold of that hope. Let it fill you with awareness of the possibilities for new value, goodness, richness and meaning.

Ways to be thankful
What you reject and despise, wears you down. What you accept and embrace, and can actually be thankful for, serves to empower you.
You don’t have to completely agree with someone in order to be thankful for that person in your life. Though your current situation is far from perfect, there are many things about it to be thankful for.
Instead of rushing to assign blame or hand out judgments, look for ways to be thankful. Enable yourself to see the positive aspects, the opportunities for value.
Rather than plummeting into frustration, despair, or anger, look for ways to be thankful. Give yourself the advantage of a conscious connection to life’s abundance.
Look for ways to be thankful, and you’ll find ways to pull yourself and your whole world forward. Look for ways to be thankful, and you’ll discover value, beauty, truth, and possibilities that otherwise would be hidden.
Look for ways to be thankful, and you’re doing a whole lot more than just being nice. You’re making the whole of your life, and everyone else’s, a much richer and more rewarding experience.

What you can gain
Whatever challenges your skills, improves those skills. Whatever challenges your beliefs, can make those beliefs even more compelling, persuasive, and rewarding.
Certainly challenges are difficult to go through. However, challenges are great to have gone through.
When a challenge comes your way, take a moment to look at it from the other side. Imagine looking back on it and seeing all you’ve gained by working through it.
The bigger and more imposing the challenge appears when it arrives, the more value you’ll have gained when it is behind you. And that experience will prepare you to conquer even bigger challenges, and to enjoy even greater rewards.
Challenges have always brought out the best in you, and will continue to do so. It’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

You can persist
Push forward, then push forward more. Persist in your effort for another minute, then another hour, then another day.

Yet you can do it, and you can continue to do it. As difficult, inconvenient, tiresome as it may become, you can take the next step, and the next.
What’s quick and easy has already been done, has already lost its value. You have the fortitude to go far beyond that, to create great new achievement and fulfillment.
The moments come, the hours arrive, the days flow into your life filled with new challenge. Persist, and transform the challenges into value, experience, strength and richness.
You’ve already experienced your own persistence, and now is your chance to add to it. Keep going, because you can, and because of all the good things you will bring into being.

Choose your perspective
In any situation, you control your perspective. You decide what to notice, what to care about, what to allow inside your head, what to keep out.
One quick thought, one small but meaningful reminder, can completely alter your perspective. What can you tell yourself, right now, that will give you a more positive and powerful outlook?
A well-chosen perspective keeps your thoughts, words, actions, and feelings in line with your best interests. Whatever the external conditions may be, your perspective enables you to make beneficial use of them.
Life is often noisy, complicated, unpredictable, and downright bewildering at times. A strong and steady perspective enables you to thrive, to achieve, to create real goodness in the midst of the maelstrom.
Ask yourself now, and often, what do you really care about? Establish and maintain a perspective that inoculates you from the turmoil of the moment.
Choose a perspective that shines a brilliant light on your best possibilities. And give yourself the power to bring those possibilities to life.

Objective eyes
What if you could take a few steps back from yourself, far enough to get a good, objective look at the way you are? Think for a moment what you would see.
You’re well acquainted with what it’s like to be you from the inside. Imagine encountering yourself from the outside.
How would your words, actions and priorities come across when viewed objectively? What advice would you give yourself if you were to observe yourself for a while from the outside?
Stand back and take a close look at how you spend the time in each day. Objectively observe what really works for you, and what is just a waste of your time.
No, you don’t want to become obsessed with what others think of you, yet there’s much you can learn by considering your life from an objective viewpoint. You’ll gain a new appreciation for your strengths and you’ll notice areas where you can make valuable improvements.
In your imagination, every once in a while, take a step back, and take a good look. View your life, your behavior, with objective eyes, and discover new, powerful ways to move forward.
