Figure it out and get it done

There is a way to solve the problem, to get past the challenge, to reach the goal. Figure it out and get it done.

You are creative, resourceful, imaginative, and energetic. Put all your best qualities to work, and persist until the work is done.

On a daily basis for all your life you’ve accomplished what you’ve set your intention to accomplish. Decide what to do, commit to getting it done, and you will.

Don’t sell yourself short. Rather than settling back with excuses, move forward with action.

Take the first step, see what happens, and learn from it. With each effort you’ll become more effective, more focused, more invested, committed, and persistent.

Discover how much you can do by doing as much as you can. Be amazed and delighted at what you can figure out, and at all the good things you will accomplish.

Fresh new possibilities

A new world comes to light each morning. A new life is born in every moment.

With the dawning of a new day, disappointments are transformed into positive determination, then eventually into new beauty. What were once mistakes take on new life as valuable experiences.

Life is a process of continuing renewal. As you move forward through time, you encounter new possibilities for more fully expressing the unique beauty that lives in your heart.

What has come before may have been very good, or not so good. What comes now can always be much better and even more meaningful.

Lovingly embrace the fresh new possibilities that are now coming to life. Treasure the best of what has been, and carry that treasure forward as you create new richness.

Open yourself to the new opportunity that comes with each breath you take. Be more fully alive than ever before.

Let life be life

Let go of the need to be certain. Let in the spontaneous magic of each moment.

Play with your food. Color outside the lines.

Quit pretending to be all the things that make you pretentious. Delight in the discovery that comes when you admit you do not know.

Embrace new possibilities that appear when plans go awry. Burst out laughing when everyone gets too serious.

This is life you have, right now, right here. And if all the fabulous opportunities don’t make you giddy with excitement, you’re just not paying attention.

Take it all in, move it all forward, and enjoy the experience in your own special way. Breathe, smile, relax, jump in, and let life be magnificent, unpredictable life.

Give encouragement

One of the best things you can give to anyone is encouragement. It costs you nothing, it’s no trouble, and you can make a big difference in another person’s life.

Don’t be concerned about whether your encouragement is deserved or not. Encouragement, once given, seeks and creates its own justification.

Encouragement offers challenge in a positive, supportive way. Every person you encounter carries hopes, burdens, struggles, dreams, and will benefit from your encouragement.

Give genuine encouragement to others and it encourages you too. Encouragement connects you with your vision of the best life can be.

Encouragement feels good to receive and great to give. It is a powerful and beneficial acknowledgment that we are all in this together.

Instantly make your world a better place. Give encouragement at every opportunity.

Do it well

You’re putting in the time and doing the work. Challenge yourself to make it your best.

Don’t search for distractions. Stop daydreaming, stop wishing you were somewhere else.

You are here now, doing this task. Focus on it, put all you have into it, and you’ll create something much better than a fleeting daydream.

What you have now is the opportunity to do something useful, to make a difference. See the value in it, and stay with the effort.

Richness and fulfillment come not from being given the ideal job, but from always giving your best to the job you’re doing. See opportunity not in the task itself, but in what you can make of the task.

Eventually you’ll move on to something else. Yet while you’re doing this, do it well, for there’s much right now to be gained from your diligence.

Think you know

You think you know the best way. Yet there could very well be an even better way.

You think you know what someone else thinks, believes, feels. But of course you don’t really.

Don’t let what you think you know get in the way of what you can learn and discover. Don’t let what you think you know blind you to the reality of the world.

Cherish everything you know, for you have spent a lifetime acquiring that knowledge. At the same time, consider your knowledge to be a starting point, not the last word.

Respect that knowledge enough that you’re always willing to add to it. Be eager to correct what you think you know when you find it to be in error.

Keep your knowledge fresh and useful by not becoming smug or complacent about it. A little humility and open-mindedness will make what you know a whole lot more valuable.

Now is when you can

Make good use of what you have while you have it. That means now.

Life changes from moment to moment. The opportunities of today won’t stick around forever, so stop waiting and start doing.

When you have a good idea, act on it. When you have some free time available, make wise use of it.

Fill your life with decisive action, and leave no room for regret. Seek out creative, productive, meaningful activities and experiences.

Be so thankful for all you have that you’re eager to put it to good use. Be so mindful of your good fortune that you continually work to expand upon it.

Live what is possible while it is possible. Now is when you can.

Mental discipline

Physical discipline can be difficult. Mental discipline is even more difficult.

Your thoughts are powerful, which is great. And keeping your thoughts focused on what you’re doing demands constant commitment.

Your thoughts will wander if you let them, and there are often times when it’s good to let them. Yet you draw great benefit from being able to keep your thoughts focused in one place for a while.

You are already in control of your thoughts. You just have to set the intention to exercise that control, and continually follow through on that intention.

If you catch your mind wandering off topic, gently nudge it back where you have chosen to keep it. Remind yourself how much you can accomplish when you choose to maintain your mental focus.

Your mind is powerful, yet it can only do so much at once. Make a habit of focusing on a single task for extended periods, and gain maximum benefit from all that power.

Yes you can

Yes you can live this day in accordance with your most treasured values. Yes you can create an intention and then do the work to fulfill that intention.

Yes you can overcome the obstacles. Yes you can successfully deal with the challenges.

Yes you can make real progress in the direction of your dreams. Yes you can focus on getting good, effective work done.

Yes you can find satisfaction and fulfillment in every step along the way. Yes you can add something positive to the life of every person you encounter.

Yes you can persevere through the disappointments and emerge even stronger than before. Yes you can meet your highest expectations and then raise those expectations.

Yes you can get past your fears, build a positive future, live with integrity and prosper in a world that often does not seem to care. Yes you can, if you will.

Make joy your perspective

Joy is not the result of any particular possession, experience, or situation. Joy arises out of the way you choose to see the situation and to live the experience.

Joy is available all the time, in every moment. What you must do is see it, live it, give it, be it.

Don’t strive to arrange the details in a specific fashion in the hope that they will cause joy. Be yourself the cause of joy, and allow the details of experience to flow from that joy.

There is joy in the moment when you give joy to the moment. The time, the place, the experience and those who share it are special when you see, with joy, how special they are.

Let go of judgments and assumptions. See if you can allow joy to be your perspective.

Here is where you can make new joy. Now is when.

Clearly define

Clearly define what you wish to do. Then you can direct all your energy and commitment into doing it.

Clearly define where you have chosen to focus your attention. Then you have a specific direction to aim the power of your focus.

Stimulation and information constantly swirl around you. So many options are available that the sheer magnitude of those options can be debilitating.

But just because there are options, does not mean you must exercise them all. Just because there is information available, does not mean you have to know it all.

Know and do the things that really matter, that support the life you wish to live. Free yourself from the needless burden of all the rest.

Don’t let yourself get pulled in a thousand different directions. Clearly define your intentions, and follow the path you’ve created to the life you choose.

Climb the mountain

The mountain has been there longer than you remember. Go ahead now, and climb it.

Each step brings you up to a higher perspective. Take the first one, and the next, and the next.

Feel confidence and enthusiasm as they build up within you. Feel energy that’s eager to be put to good use.

Look ahead, look up to the summit as it beckons. See the challenge that you will now transform into achievement.

Give thanks for the difficulties that will each make you stronger. Point that strength again and again in a positive direction.

Persist all the way until you reach the top. Then gaze out with satisfaction and choose the next mountain to climb.

Let it all inspire you

Something you never expected and could not avoid just laid waste to you well-crafted plans. Breathe in, breathe out, and let it inspire you.

You’re working hard to catch up, and getting further behind. Smile to yourself, and let it inspire you.

Just when you’re starting to make progress, you get interrupted. Quickly forgive, and let it inspire you.

Whatever happens is part of life, and you can find a way to make it into something of value. Let it inspire you to do just that.

You don’t need a million-dollar view of the ocean to be inspired. You just have to make the choice.

Every person you meet, every pothole you encounter, every twist and turn of daily life, has goodness to offer. Look confidently out, your heart filled with love, and let it all inspire you.

The time you can use

Your time is now. But if you hurry through this moment, you’ll never know its beauty.

Today is full of promise, laced with possibility. Slow down a little, see it, and live with richness the time that’s already yours.

Why rush to get there if all you do when you arrive is rush some more? Put your attention and energy into living, not into hurrying.

The future is already and always beyond your reach. Everything you have is now, so take care not to rush ahead of it.

The time is not fifteen minutes until this or four days from that. The time you can use is always now.

Live it, love it, give to it, enjoy it. Take the time that you have now, thoroughly filling it with richness and meaning.

A bit of kindness

Offer a bit of kindness to life today. Offer a bit of kindness, and discover how much it grows.

You’ll find plenty of opportunities to give kindness away, yet that kindness never goes away. The more you give kindness, the more there is.

Looking for a quick and accessible way to get yourself positively focused? Give a bit of kindness, and elevate your perspective to a more favorable, effective place.

There’s no limit to the goodness that will result when you give a bit of kindness. Each kindness takes on a life of its own, and can keep building upon itself long after you’ve forgotten about it.

Eventually, all those bits of kindness you give will come back to you. Though you won’t know exactly how, your world will be warmed by every kindness you offer.

Give a little bit of kindness, every chance you get. It’s a gift that never stops making life better.

Putting it all to use

Today is your chance to do what you can, when you can, with what you have. Even the most difficult, complicated achievements come to life by completing one step at a time.

You’re smart enough to accept that whatever you’re doing will require some time and effort. Now is your opportunity to invest that time, to make that effort.

You already know the challenges will require persistence and diligence. And you’ve already discovered you have what it takes to keep going.

There’s always something you can do. And even if the going gets slow, you go ahead, because it’s a whole lot better than falling behind.

With every effort, new options open up to you. With every moment, the momentum grows stronger.

You have purpose, desire, integrity, ability and a love of making good things happen. On this day filled with unique possibility, enjoy putting it all to use.

Now is your chance

Now is your chance to be finally free of anything you’ve been doing to hold yourself back. Now is your chance to live in the way you most fondly imagine.

Now is your chance to make positive use of all that your experience has taught you. Now is your chance to put into practice your highest and best ideals.

Now is your chance to forgive, and to leave all the pain of the past in the past. Now is your chance to create new goodness with sincere, authentic, loving intention.

Now is your chance to put your highest hopes into action. Now is your chance to step boldly beyond the grip of your fears.

Now is your chance to see new possibilities, and to live them with everything in you. Now is your chance to encourage, to love, to give, to heal.

Somewhere deep within, you know how good and beautiful it can be to be you. Now is your chance to bring that vision fully to life.

Connected to it all

You are connected to all of existence. Choose always to make good use of that connection.

You are connected to people who can support and encourage you. Explore the connection, strengthen it, and build upon it.

You are connected to people who can benefit greatly from your presence, your attention, and your assistance. Be thankful for the opportunity, and continue to discover ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

You are connected to an endless abundance of resources, information, ideas, and energy. Step forward each morning with love, and with the intention of creating new, meaningful value from all that abundance.

Your awareness, your thoughts, your actions, are deeply connected to all that is. Every choice echoes endlessly through life, so make those choices with kindness and care.

Everything you do matters to everything that is. Do it well.

Deliver the best

Go always in the direction that makes life good. Your life is much too valuable to waste even a minute of it.

If a thought, activity, situation or choice doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Let your discontent prompt you to find a more affirmative path.

Say yes to what strengthens you, excites you, challenges you to grow, and makes you feel fully alive. Let go of what holds you back, compromises your values, and lets you get away with not making a difference.

Take a great big, deep breath of possibility. Feel the confidence, feel the enthusiasm, feel the desire to give your best to life.

Decide right now to love the moment you’re in, just as it is, just as you are. Envision the highest use you can make of right now, and put that vision into action, right now.

You have every reason and every ability to make each day more fulfilling and life-affirming than the last. Expect the best of yourself, and deliver it.

Choose persistence

When you’ve done just enough, do a little more. Soon you’ll be far ahead.

When you’re making good progress, keep going. Take full advantage of your momentum.

When you feel like stopping, give yourself an enjoyable break. Then come back to your work with fresh energy and a renewed sense of purpose.

Persistence is not ever easy. Yet it is always yours to choose.

And persistence makes the difference between permanent regret and lasting achievement. Ask yourself often, which would you rather have?

Right now, on this task, in this place, you can persist. Do it, choose persistence, and you know you’ll always be thankful you did.

Keep choosing well

You’ve come this far by making some good choices. Going forward, keep choosing well.

No, of course you’re not perfect. No one is.

Yet experience has taught you what works for you and what doesn’t. You can use that experience to vastly improve your world.

No one has to remind you about the mistakes and poor choices you’ve made along the way. It would be great, however, for you to remind yourself of all you’ve done right.

Think of the good choices you’ve made and the positive results those choices have brought you. Let it inspire you to make many more positive choices that will bring even better results.

Every day is filled with choices and every choice is an opportunity for you. Keep choosing well, and keep bringing new goodness and value to life.

Don’t overthink it

Give good thought and consideration to what you’re about to do. But don’t overthink it.

It pays to make good use of your intelligence. Take care, however, that you don’t substitute thinking for doing.

If your thinking gets in the way of making a decision, you’re probably overthinking it. If your thoughts wander off from whatever you’re working on, you’re overthinking it.

Look at what you’re doing now, and aim your thoughts at doing it well. Think and analyze enough to do your best work, but not so much that you get hopelessly distracted by those thoughts.

You have the amazing ability to think, and it gives you great power. Apply that power in a positive, effective, and consistent direction.

Think, visualize, analyze and imagine. Then get to work, and put those great things you’ve been thinking about into action.

Rich in life

Look at yourself today, and see how much stronger you’ve grown. Consider all the value that has accumulated in your life.

What once blocked your path now forms the path. What previously was weakness, you’ve transformed into strength.

Through every experience you’ve added skill, wisdom, new perspective. Each moment of life has deepened your love, clarified your purpose.

Time, trouble, joy, challenge, frustration, curiosity, caring, boredom and excitement have all deposited value that’s now yours. Imagine the good things you can now do with what you now have.

Imagine, without limit, without guilt or fear or worry. Imagine, then put that imagination into action.

Today you are rich in life, more than ever before. Live the richness, express the richness, share it, delight in it and make good use that creates much, much more.

From this moment on

From this moment on, you don’t have to let anyone else’s opinion have any influence on the way you live your life. From this moment on, you can make every choice based on your highest, most treasured values.

From this moment on, you can let go of all worries about what might or might not happen. From this moment on, you can drop all your resentment and anguish about what’s already in the past.

From this moment on, your life can be as good as you choose to make it. From this moment on, you can persistently stick with your commitment to live the best life you can imagine.

Today your wisdom is greater than it’s ever been. Today, you have more experience than at any other point in your life so far.

So today, and from now on, you’re able to make the most of all that. From this moment on, you can expect the best, and live up to those expectations.

From this moment on, the possibilities are beautiful and amazing. Let this be the day you choose to live at a higher level than ever before.

You can handle it

When life throws you a challenge, relax. You can handle it.

It won’t be easy, and it will demand a great deal of your time and effort. Yet you can handle it, and when you do you’re likely to be better off than before the challenge arrived.

Look back, and you’ll see that some of the best times in your life were also some of the most challenging times. When you have no choice but to be your best, you always come through.

So go ahead and walk confidently up to whatever challenging obstacle has just dropped onto your path. You’ve done this before, and now is your opportunity to do it again.

Let your thoughts rise above the challenge, and envision how much new value you’ll be able to create. Then take a deep breath, count your many blessings, and get to work.

Go ahead, feel the power of knowing you can handle it. And keep putting that power into action.

Better approach

When one approach doesn’t work, there’s another one that will. Learn, adjust, adapt, explore, discover, innovate, and create that better approach.

When your plan doesn’t bring the desired results, that’s no reason to give up. Instead, work to develop a new plan and put that plan into action.

When the rain starts falling, continue the party inside. When the wind shifts direction, adjust the trim of your sails.

Decide to make improvements rather than excuses. Choose to find the path that gets you there instead of complaining about the dead ends you’ve encountered.

What matters most is what you intend to do, and why. Be clear about that and committed to that, and willing to adapt as necessary.

Choose not to wallow in disappointment or defeat. There’s a better approach, and you can make the most of it.

Peaceful pause

Take time often to give yourself a long, sustained experience of peace. Let go of all cares, concerns, pressures, and let yourself enjoy the pure experience of being.

There is much you wish to accomplish, problems to solve, goals to achieve, and that’s great. But you can’t be going and doing nonstop all the time or you’ll burn yourself out.

You deserve a peaceful pause. Give yourself one regularly, and often.

At some point, efforts stacked on top of efforts begin to yield diminishing returns. Before you reach that point, stop and refresh your body, mind, and spirit with a time of peace and rest.

Just because you can always stay connected and engaged, doesn’t mean it’s in your best interest, or anyone else’s, to do so. Make your efforts more productive, more creative, more effective, by taking a regular break from them.

Allow time and space for a refreshing sense of peace to wash over you, to cleanse you, to fill you with new energy and purposefulness. Breathe deeply, relax fully, be at peace.

The power to care

You have powerful tools, resources, skills at your disposal. Remind yourself, challenge yourself to use them for good, meaningful, life-affirming and life-improving purposes.

You have life, time, awareness, and good sense. Do yourself and all the world a big favor, and make great use of all you have.

The world is often distracting and discouraging, and will tempt you to stray from what really matters. Yet you can rise above that temptation, and make a substantive difference in every day.

You have the power to care. You have the ability to follow through on that care, to support, to encourage, to build and achieve.

Life arises each morning and takes on the distinct characteristics of the people who are living it that day. Your attitude and your actions make life what it is, and within that truth is magnificent opportunity.

Exercise fully your power to care, to work for the goodness you know is possible. Give your care, your effort, your love, and push life in its best direction.
