Patience Author Unknown
Patience is the fruit of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit knows how impatient we are and how much we are in need of His patient endurance in our lives.
Patience is needed for the “little waits” in life…waiting for the traffic light to change, the line to move faster, the train to pass, or the computer to respond to a command.
Patience is needed for the “big waits” in life…training, finishing school, finding a job, getting in top shape, or taking a dream vacation.
Patience is needed for the “bigger waits” in life… growing to spiritual maturity, finding God’s choice in marriage, waiting upon God to answer a prayer in His time, or seeing a door open for a desired ministry.
Patience is also needed for the “biggest waits” of all…the return of the Lord, the establishment of His kingdom, God’s final judgment, new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will abide and Jesus will reign forever.
In all these things and more, receive the Spirit’s patience…the light will change, the training will be completed, the growth will take place…and yes, the Lord will return.
Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near. James 5:7-8 (NLT) (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James%205&version=NLT)
