Just For Today – Part 2 — Day 17 - Put On Quietness by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put on…QUIETNESS
Do not let your adornment be merely outward, arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel, rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
1 Peter 3:3,4 (NKJV)

Today’s Action:
Just for Today let’s put on Quietness.
Quiet is defined as free from noise and disturbance. Calm, restful. Restrained in speech.

In this noisy world we live in, Quiet can sometimes be most difficult to find and wear. However, as believers, we should seek to wear this beauty of a gentle, quiet spirit for it is precious to God.

Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:11 “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life,… “
Therefore, Quietness is something we should seek and try to achieve daily in some way.

Just for Today, then, while we are getting dressed and ready to go out into the world, or preparing ourselves to work at home, let’s stop for a moment and just focus on God.
Let’s spend some “quiet time” with Him. Let’s remember today’s verse.
Let’s ask Him to give us a quiet spirit to wear today that is very precious in His sight.
