Believe it or not there are people who live their lives as whole and purposeful people without having to be in recovery. We'd all like to be one of them, but none of us are. All of us who are in recovery have all had our chance at this and we all blew it and when we did we all acted like it didn't matter to us that we did, but does, and we all know that now. All of us can only have that kind of life now by all of us being in recovery, and without it we're all doomed. There is no other way when it comes to all of us, and what we all have had to go through that brings us all to recovery. One thing that all of us will possess by all of us having to be in recovery now, that very few people will ever know is a degree of humility that is unbelievable. And from having to have this all of us will learn how we can accept and love ourselves as we are, not as we all would like to be. This allows all of us to be able to live a life that is whole and purposeful, like no other life can be.
