The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

August 13

The word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. Psalm 33:4

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1:17

Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely. Psalm 139:4

August 15

James 1:33-24 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
