Welcome Marco, we don't quote Stools and Bottles, we do have a section baaed on working on Character Defects. It is about me working on what I need, but open to others sharing.
http://www.bluidkiti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1591 http://www.bluidkiti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6564 I did find a quote in one of the AA Thought for Day readings for August 26: Prayer for the Day: God, we pray for faith and spiritual courage to face our problems. Grant us wisdom to know our weakness and strength to rebuild our lives. - From Stools & Bottles Found this posted on another site: The discussion of the steps bought to mind the author of "stools and bottles".....who came from my area. He spoke at my home group many years ago. I have often said the "old-timers" of the 60' and 70' era of AA used metaphores and analogies to explain complicated thoughts in "simple" terms! How about this one?: The 12 steps are like a 3 legged stool: Steps 1, 2 and 3 are the legs of that stool.......the remaining steps go on top of the stool. If one of the 3 supporting legs (steps 1-2-3) breaks, the entire stool will collapse! I did a search on line too and the book can be purchased. Of course we do have the daily readings. Welcome to the site, thank you for saying hello. I hope you will continue to come and share your journey with us. https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.J...gHaHs&pid=15.1 |

Strange, did a search and it didn't come up. I thought it was here, but figured it was on her old site.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. |
Contrary to popular opinion I'm here to help.

Thank you. That is good. I hope you will continue to share your journey with us.
