FOCUS ON TRUTH

Most of us can recall a time when we have been let down. It may have been by someone on television. It may have been by a close friend or relative. We may have lost trust in them because they said one thing and did another. We may have caught them in a lie and a part of us lost confidence in them. When we put our trust in man, we will be disappointed; however, when we put our trust in God, we will never be disappointed. We can always have confidence He will keep His promises and tell the truth. He cannot lie.

Hebrews 6:18 �So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.� (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know people are going to mess up. We know we are going to continue to be disappointed if we choose to put our trust in man. We are not perfect and we mess up. We have disappointed many because we failed to follow through with a promise. We thank You, Lord, we can put our trust in You. We thank You for keeping Your promises and never lying to us. We thank You, Lord, we can flee to You for refuge and have confidence in Your word. In Jesus� name. Amen.

God�s word never lies and we can always rely on its� truths.

When we focus on the word of God rather than be enticed by the world, we will be able to stand strong in times of trouble.

God�s promises are many and can be counted on to be true and valid.

God wants us to know His truth is right and just. He wants us to depend on Him.

God�s truth gives us confidence because we can always know He never lies.

Titus 1:2 �This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God�who does not lie�promised them before the world began.� (NLT)

Focus: We can draw confidence from God�s word because it is always true.
