O is for Opportunity. They say, "When opportunity knocks...." We need to open the door to change and close the door on things that want to remain the same. We need to grasp new ideas and run with them, but not before we check to make sure they are God given.

O is for Openly Using Recovery

O is for Open Mind. If you don't have one, ask yourself, "Why not?" Is someone saying something you don't want to here. Open your mind and think outside the box. Remember your best thinking got you to the doors of recovery. Time to open up and let old things go to make room for new.

O is for One Day at a Time. All we have is this one day, nothing more, nothing less. One day at a time, and a day can start any time. This is my morning, and i am overdue in getting some sleep. I had a 24 hours without any sleep, so hopefully I will ind more in the next 24 Hours.

O is for Open. Open your heart and allow yourself to become vulnerable. The longest journey we make in recovery is from our head to our heart. Our God is loving and caring, we need to pass His Gift onto others.

Open your mind and your heart!

O is for Good Orderly Direction. Sometimes my mind is chaotic and I have to quiet it so I can hear that Direction, and put some order to my way of thinking. Not falling back on the old as gospel, but open to new paths and not rely on old tendencies, and being willing to change.

O is for Options. We do have options. We can live a spiritual life by living the principles of the program, or we can stay sober and stay the same and have the same kind of attitude, habits, patterns and behaviors.

O is for Obsession. It has needed doing for a long time and energy has been in short supply. I kept saying, it has to get done. Today I did! My son helped me by putting the fold clothes into bags and carrying upstairs. I had to ask for help.

O is for Optimistic. Isn't that thinking of all the good things that could happen instead of focusing on the things that aren't so good. When I look at what I don't have or what the worst case scenario has in store for me, I attract what I put out.
